Great! But building a team is about more than just adding people to help you get more shit done. Let’s look at my main reasons why you should build your team today:

 

1. connection

One thing I miss from working a 9-5 is the camaraderie and connection you get from others. Walking to fill my coffee in the break room and running into the gal in accounting hearing about her 4 year old’s shenanigans. When you build a team, you no longer have to work alone but get that personal connection with others.

 

2. shared goals

Building a team of people around you is more than just having more hands to get shit done. It’s about having people who want to see your dreams and goals come true. They believe in your business just as much as you do and want to help you!

 

3. shared excitement

When my clients/team have a record month: we get to celebrate together. When they are on track to hit their goals for the year: we celebrate together. When they need to figure stuff out: we talk it out together. It’s not just about my success, but it’s about my team’s successes.

 

4. accountability:

For me, I thrive when I have others keeping me on track, asking me what I plan to do that day and reminding me of my vision and priorities. My team is the best accountability partner!

 

5. delegation = magic!

Sure, you can delegate, but building a team is where the real magic happens!
